Stephen Ministry
Christ caring for people through people. Stephen Ministry is a one-to-one lay caring ministry. Stephen Ministers are trained congregation members who offer high-quality, confidential, one-to-one Christian care to people who are hurting or going through tough-times. Stephen Ministers are available to those who are struggling through a difficult time in life, such as people experiencing grief, divorce, job loss, chronic or terminal illness, or some other life crisis. You don't have to be a member of Bunker Hill United Methodist Church to receive Stephen Ministry care. If you are in need of Christian care, please contact our church office. The relationship between a care receiver and a Stephen Minister is confidential. Men are matched with men; women with women. When a care receiver’s needs exceed what a Stephen Minister can provide, the Stephen Ministry team makes a referral to appropriate professionals or other community resource.
